Beginners 1 Pass Criteria

Handler is able to get and hold dog‘s attention.
Handler understands how to use clicker or marker word and how to ̳get the timing right‘ when rewarding their dog.
Handler understands how to play with their dog as a reward using toy and/or body.
Use of food, etc as a reward will still be on a high rate but luring to get behaviour has been faded for the following exercises.
3 step heeling without losing attention.
Sit – at left side (position for sit, drop, and stand does not need to be perfect, just needs to be on the left side).
Drop – at left side Stand – at left side.
Turns – Handler to know how to execute left, left-about and right, right-about turns.
10 second sit stay.
10 second down stay.
Informal recall.
